What I Did: We wanted to make cool pictures with melted crayons that you insert into a hot glue gun.. it ended up melting the crayons but it was squirting out the back of the glue gun .. dangerous.. I ended up having to take apart the glue gun.

29. November - 8:25 pmI tried this too… lots of burned fingers and melted crayon everywhere!
31. December - 11:26 amYou HAVE to use a low temp glue gun. Not high or multi temp. There is a HUGE difference. Most people have multi temp.
8. January - 2:00 pmThis has worked for years for me. Place paper on top of barely warm electric flat griddle. The crayons melt as you draw. My kids used long oven mitts to hold the crayons. No burns more “unique” drawings. Turn up heat gradually if crayons aren’t melting. As always use caution with heat and kids. Last have the kids spread crayon shavings all over one sheet of wax paper, cover with another piece of waxed paper, Then the adult puts a plain sheet of paper on top, and irons. Peel off top paper and hang in window.
