I’m pretty sure that in the original pin, the stocking was placed on top of the sleeping baby, rather than stuffing the baby into it.

I laughed so hard when I saw this picture. People in the train were looking at me…

What is this thing on the baby’s head anyway?
I was wondering if the kid is yawning or yelling “ah, godammit, get me outa here”

Thank you for this. I’ve been lying here sick with four kids crawling on me and this picture brought me unadulterated joy. Hilarious.

                  O.M.G. Are those earmuffs? :D
The kid’s face says it all really lol, I am literally crying I’m laughing so hard. Thank you to all the parents out there who are evil enough to do things like this (I’m one of them, my son is 12 and I still have him doing stupid things for my photos lol)

ok first…i cant stop laughing im crying.
second ….i believe the stock is laying on top of the baby or wrapped around him like a blanket instead of stuffing him in the stocking…lol…omg my kids are looking at me and asking me if im ok cause im laughing so hard.
                        Thanks <3

                        1. Christina says:

Lol as a mom this is hilarious!!! I’ve put my own children through this and clients have made me put their children though it too.

As a portrait photographer I’d be rich if I had a dime for every time a client wanted the photo on the left but ended up with…well, not that photo. I can explain until I’m blue in the face why it won’t work but it does me no good. The trouble is the original photo is with a sleeping newborn. Sleeping newborns are easy to pose and stay sleeping long enough to get a few photos. In your photo it looks like you have what we call a non-sitter…about 3-4 months and they DON’T sleep though shoots. A different approach is needed for different stages of development.

On the bright side I don’t think your photo is a fail but a WINNER!!! That is, if you look at it from my point of view. Though the original photo is a cute Christmas photo. Like most people I receive a ton of these from family and friends far away. I do enjoy getting them. I display them. But let me be honest, I only look at them twice….when I get it and when I put it away. They just don’t grab my attention after so many of them. With the caption ‘Merry Flippin’ Christmas!’ Or ‘Bah Humbug!’ It’d give a great stress relieving laugh and make for a very numerable card. I’d say you have a winner on your hands. :)

Exactly what Christina said. I’d MUCH rather have your WIN than the pin!

I am UGLY LAUGHING. Sucking in large gulps of air while tears run down my face. Thank you for this. I needed it somethin fierce today.
