Fail: Baked String Cheese Bites

Posted under Fail

Name: Heather Lou

Original Inspiration: http://pinterest.com/pin/350366045980401613/

What I Did: They looked like a quick, easy and yummy snack, we all love cheese!
I did exactly as the directions said and this is what I got!
Sooo……I thought maybe if I used something thicker to dip the cheese in other than milk, like say an egg, that they would have a thicker coating on them and stay together better……same thing! I didn’t even bother taking a second picture :-/
Then I thought if I put them in the freezer they wouldn’t melt as fast and would hold up better AND I thought I would dip and roll them twice in the egg and bread crumbs…..same sad looking thing!
Seeing as how i tried this 3 times in a row doing something a little different each time, i nailed it pretty good!
I can say that I did add some seasoning to the bread crumbs and even though they look terrible, they tasted pretty good!

My Result:

Next Time I Will: Can it be saved? Lol, I just don’t think so

also maybe try cutting your cheese a bit thicker and don’t bake quite as long. I have made these a few times and turned out. but as long as they tasted good… :)
